Katherine Lawless

Curious. Thoughtful. Forward-thinking. After getting a BA in journalism and history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I continued my education at the Columbia Publishing Course. I then worked as a magazine editor at a regional publishing house, where I wrote articles for 15+ travel, lifestyle, and food print publications. Since starting my freelance career, I've contributed to countless more outlets, interviewing award-winning chefs, highlighting new boutique stays, and sharing my travel adventures around the world.

I'm a proud Midwesterner, but I'm always planning my next trip. I ski, I sail, and I love to explore. I know the best stories come from casual, candid conversations with the locals I meet along the way.
